For the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympic Games, we were given a brief to design a pair of mascots especially for animation, where they would be featured in an animated bumper and GIFs. My mascots are a pair of Sardinian long-eared bats, a species of bat endemic to an Italian island and draw inspiration from the Italian flag and figure skaters.
